This month started with a couple of bank holidays, and my cousin took advantage of that and visited us for a few days. Having two motorcycles in our garage, we got a chance to go for a short ride.
We rode west from Wroclaw to Lubiąż monastery and returned through Brzeg and Oborniki. We have been switching bikes to let my cousin test DesertX.
I tried my Ducati DesertX on the Trans Euro Trail route for the first time. I planned to go to Mietków Lake to enter the TET there, then ride west, around Legnica, and go back home heading in Milicz’s direction. I gave up in the middle of the ride as massive rain caught me, and I didn’t want to ride on mud and wet grass for the next 100km.
However, I used my dirt bike tracks to go back home, and those proved great for DesertX. At this point, I think I enjoy riding TET and similar light trails more on the big adventure bike than on the enduro bike!
I tried to switch from tube to tire mousse on the enduro bike without success. I was not even close! I asked here and there, and based on the recommendation, I ordered better tire levers. With those, it was much easier. There is still room for improvement, though, as I need to buy a bead buddy tool. It should be even easier next time.
