This month, the excitement level began rising as I proceeded with preparations for a few-day-long TET trip. I changed the DesertX tires to knobbies, finished planning the route, booked accommodations, and took a few rides to check recently flooded areas to assess their passability.
Spain experienced an unusually high amount of rain this spring, and many roads were cut off for two months. As I wanted to travel to the TET loop via back roads, I spent some time checking if those areas were passable.
They were – some fords looked like bridges now, and were passable, and all other roads were rideable, too. Although the rain destroyed the surface, and in some places there were meter-deep ruts. It was challenging at times, especially with a heavy bike, on the deep, sandy terrain.

At the end of the month, I took the previously mentioned few-day trip to the TET Alto Tajo loop. It was a great experience, and I wrote more about that in Riding the TET Spain: Alto Tajo.
I also found time to assemble the Ducati Panigale Lego set. It waited for almost a year, and Lego retired it, releasing an even more advanced model since I bought this one. It was great to revisit my favorite childhood toy world.
