Enduro, adventure motorcycles and travels
This month in my motorcycle world has been relatively quiet. The closest thing related to bikes was my return from a ski week in Madonna di Campiglio in Trentino two days before the Campioni in Pista event happened.
December is a cold month in Poland, but due to the climate change we no longer have too many days with snow. That way, instead of “closing the season” I could still have a few rides. I also spent some time in the garage and mounted a couple of items I ordered from Wunderlich.
It was a good month in terms of motorcycles. I didn’t have time for too many rides, but I still had a couple of good ones, did some commuting, and had a chance to visit an impressive BMW museum.
I finished the DesertX run-in period and visited a dealer for the first service. The heated grips still haven’t arrived, but I know that parts from Bologna are often delivered leisurely. At least they changed the oil and did the first maintenance, so now the engine can rev up to the max!
In many parts of Wroclaw, if you look southwest, you can see a distinctive mountain. Ślęża, the 718m peak, is located about 40km from the city center. The hill was one of the most crucial Pagan worship places in Poland, important for old Slavic tribes.
This month, I took my DesertX for the weekend travel for the first time. The plan was to head into the Krakow area for two days and minimize time spent on the highway as my bike was still on the run-in period.
